For those exploring the charm of eastern Minnesota, Kaffe Stuga Restaurant stands as a culinary haven where familiar comforts meet heartfelt care. Whether you crave a classic breakfast that feels like a warm embrace or a robust dinner reminiscent of homemade family meals, this unassuming gem delivers a dining experience that touches the heart and satiates the appetite.
Excellent liver and onions. The green beans could have been improved with a little splash of vinegar. Hashbrowns were buttery, and cooked nicely. The breaded green beans with ranch dipping cup (appetizer) were not particularly special, but as "something different" they were a novelty. The chicken noodle soup was simple, with nice thick *homemade(?) noodles. My brother enjoyed his potatoes and gravy with meatballs (he also commented that the French cut green beans *canned(?) could have used a touch of vinegar). Portion size was quite satisfactory. The place is pleasant, with a hometown vibe. Service was pretty passive, but acceptable. We completely missed all the different beautiful home-made dessert options. We definitely would have ordered one or another slice of pie or baked dessert, had we been asked. The menu prices are very affordable. Overall, I'd definitely go back again.
This place is fantastic. We had breakfast, perfect scrambled eggs and pancakes. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've ever had. We had dinner the night before and the walleye was perfect. The service is fast and friendly. I love this restaurant and will eat here every time we come to Minnesota
Two of us ordered the fish dinner and it was excellent, hot and perfectly cooked. One ordered the roast beef dinner and another ordered the chicken dinner, they were both very happy with their meals too. We look forward to eating at Kaffe Stuga again.
Hole in the wall with homemade food at extremely affordable pricing. Had roast beef dinner with a cup of ham and bean soup, soda, piece of raspberry pie, and even with a generous tip it was well under $25. Staff was extremely friendly and quick, food was fresh. Will come here again when I'm in the area!
Stopped here on our way to the North Shore from Minneapolis and we’re glad we did! Charming place with great food and wonderful service. Best Patty Melt I’ve ever had. We will be back!
Old fashion café, Nice atmosphere, friendly people. Great food, For reasonable price
Laid-Back atmosphere with delicious home-cooked meals. The smothered Burger truly was under $6 I returned for breakfast and was not disappointed.
